In Tim Tebow’s autobiography, “Through My Eyes,”For as long as I can remember, this was instilled in me: to have fun, love Jesus and others, and tell them about Him.” If you have given Tebow a moment of your attention you will see that he is living up to these principles in his life. He is having a blast and pointing people to Jesus on and off the field.

You do not have to be a Broncos fan to be a Tebow fan nor would you have to be a follower of Jesus to appreciate Tim Tebow’s work ethic. His contribution as starting quarterback cannot be argued. His dedication to Jesus may not be cared for by some but He is consistent.

For example, former Broncos quarterback Jake Plummer told KGME-AM in Phoenix this week: “I think he’s a winner and I respect that about him. I think that when he accepts the fact that we know that he loves Jesus Christ, then I think I’ll like him a little better. I don’t hate him because of that. I just would rather not have to hear that every time he takes a good snap or makes a good hand-off.”

To which Tebow replies, “a man needn’t express his love for his wife only on their wedding day, but all the time. That’s the way he feels about his relationship with his Lord…That’s the thing about my faith: It’s not just something that happens when you’re at church or happens when you’re praying or reading the Scripture. It’s a part of who you are, as a person, as a player, in your life and everything, and it should be who you are because you’re not just a Christian or a believer at church. That’s who you are everywhere and it shouldn’t matter what situation or what setting you are in. Hopefully, you’re the same guy everywhere.”

There are many books, articles, and websites that can tell you more about the the person, player, and passion of Tim Tebow. I would like to draw your attention to something that is common to all of us. You and I are may not (and I mean by that are not) be NFL football players. We may not have daily tv interviews. We may not have people buying our autobiographies but we do have influence.

Our influence may come in various doses but never the less all of us have some measure of it. How are you using the platform of your God given influence that is given to you? Could it be said of you that people hear of Jesus in the dynamic equivalent of you every “snap and hand off”?

Tim Tebow has given his life over to Jesus which means that in every situation He is looking to draw attention to our Him. Think about this tomorrow when there is a lull in conversation in the break room, when you have the opportunity to respond to the boss in front of your colleagues, and when you have a choose to make an easy choice and the right choice.

All of us have different platforms. Some seat higher than others with a larger audience but all of them as Christians should be given to Christ to use for His glory.

The Voice in the Villages is the newest our our ministries at Vision Baptist Missions. It is a very simple concept. We take 100 pages of solid Biblical teaching send it as a pdf to an office overseas were it is translated (chinese, arabic, moore, xhosa, etc). The translated document is printed and is delivered into a village with in driving distance of the office. It helps “fight the theological famine” that is often found in the villages of the world.

Moha’s Story

Moha lives in Qsar Moui, a red mud-brick village of only 3,000 people lying in a picturesque green valley watered by a lone natural spring and surrounded by brown desert peaks close to the border of Algeria and Morocco. Everyone speaks a native dialect of Berber called Tamazighet. Most have learned Arabic at least in the Moroccan dialect. There are four mosques in Moha’s town and no churches. In fact, there are no Christians at all within a two-hour drive that we know of…except Moha.

Moha heard of Christ in 1994 through short wave radio. He accepted Christ over ten years ago and has received many threats for his faith. He has been praying that God would send someone to help him convince his wife, ten children, and many grandchildren of Christ. Through the Voice of the Villages project we are giving Moha the tools and knowledge he needs to reach his family and village for Christ.

Would you prayerfully consider helping us in this endeavor? The Voice in the Villages projects really understands the great need on the mission fields and meets a need in a very simple, tangible manner. We are very grateful for their partnership.

For the Sake of His Name will be the theme for all the Our Generation Events in our 2011 season. This is a theme that is very dear to the hearts of all us on the Our Generation Team. We believe as you hear stories from the past and present about young men and young ladies going “for the sake of His Name” you will be motivated to help those going in the future go for the same purpose. You can learn more about the story that inspired this theme by reading about the lives of John Leonard Dober and David Nitschman.

Here is a video made by Andrew Pearson’s company Christian Ministry Videos (their name says enough). I would love to see you join us with a group of young people we are ready to live “for the sake of His name”! If you have any questions let me know.
“There is too much to do to be bored!” That is my message to the teenagers for this Spring Break. We don’t want to them to sleep their spring break away – we want them to serve them away! Next week, during Spring Break, our church will be having a Children’s Crusade. I am so excited about how our teenagers will be able to be highly involved in this campaign.

We are calling our Spring Break campaign called “me no bored”. Poor grammar but a great plan. That is our response to people asking us if we are bored.. “me no bored”. There is too much to do to be bored!
