Bible Reading: 1 John 2 – 5
Devotional Thought: And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 1 John 5:11
This has become one of my favorite verses after reading it today! I imagine if we had a better understanding of any verse it would be one of our favorites. “This is the record…” “life is in his Son” – how incredibly exciting and exact. This reminds me of a quote I recently read by C.S.Lewis, “CS Lewis I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.”
I have met and know people that I wish I could just wipe their past clean, give them a new identity, basically give them a new life! Well, I can’t but He can! The life we desire, the life we long for, the life we were created for in “in His Son”! Thank you God for opening my eyes so I could see it!
