Stand in awe, and sin not

Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. Psalm 4:4

This has always been one of my favorite Psalms. In High School it was my “Life Verse” for at least 2 months. I would change often because I knew it had such an impact on the projectorary of my life.

This verse really expressed what is at the heart of the “be level”. Our churches ministry of training men and women is based upon the Biblical model of be, do, serve, train. It is very clear from the level who I am when no one is around will be determined by my view of God. Standing in awe of God causes me to “sin not”. Sitting in amusement that causes me to not have a high view of God will lead to “sin much”.
