I am very frustrated that my macbook is having some issues.I woke up excited about sharing what God is showing me during my Bible reading. However, I am currently posting from my phone and it is highly frustrating and inefficient.
Genesis 12:1 we find the Lord tell Abraham to get out of his country. As odd as I find this request I imagine Abraham was even more puzzled.
I believe God is asking Abraham to do more than take a step from something but to take a step of faith towards Him. Steps into the unknown. A place of utter dependance to Him. A step onto a path where Abraham would have to stop and aski God for direction daily.
These steps are steps that many missionaries have felt the joy and responsibilities of having to take. However, working with young people makes me very much aware that these are steps all us who desire to be used of God must make.
Some of us my be willing and desirous to serve the Lord in a far off country and began the journey and end up on the other side of the road. Others of us my surrender and begin our journey to find is geographically close to where we started but miles away from passed affections in our hearts.
