My wife and I are expecting our second child around Valentine’s Day next year. While we were expecting Thatcher we found our his gender as soon as possible. I remember the anticipation of the day we went to see our babies gender via an ultra sound. I would really like to wait until our child’s birth to find out this time. However, my wife has some stong and valid oppostion. She is not convinced that we should wait. However, she is open minded.
We are so thankful to God for another child. It does not matter to us if it is a boy or girl. Also, we are enjoying our current debate. We will be both be happy regardless of when we find out. We ask that you pray for his or her health.
We know the greatest preparation we can make is not the painting of a nursery or the putting together of a crib. The greatest thing we can do for this child is to allow God to rule and reign in our hearts in lives. The greatest preparation is spiritual.
We thought we would solicate some help from all of you out there as we think through this! You can click on the image above to be redirected to a site that allows you to cast your vote on this debate!

Being a grandfather, I am of the old school and do not like the modern way of finding out. I don’t know about the way the ultra sound machine works, but if it takes radiation, the less the child and mother has of that the better. A man getting his Dr. degree in radiation said if you have had radiation you are a canidate for cancer.
Why not do it the old way? If God intended for you to know He would have made a way possibe. Before our 2nd child, our 1st daughter was born, I told my wife I had my mind made up: I wanted a girl. All along and even the day before she came, the doctor said “another boy.” I said, with the Dr. by her side, “Tell him that he’s as crazy as he looks, I’ve made up my mind and I won’t change it!” The next day she had a girl.
We were not Christians then. I was a “J.W’ for the first 26 years of my life. Then God saved me. Lisa is now a mother of two girls and a devoted church worker.
May God give you what He can use for His glory.
